
Rule 93. Preliminary action by judge
(a) Upon receipt of a complaint, the judge may forthwith or after an investigation by a probation officer or other person proceed to schedule a hearing, or he may dismiss the complaint.
(b) Upon receipt of a preliminary notice, the judge may forthwith or after an investigation by a probation officer or other person:
(1) Direct that a complaint be filed after which he may proceed as in paragraph (a) of this rule; or
(2) Advise the individual or agency filing the preliminary notice that no cause exists for action by the court.--Amended May 28, 1957.
