
Rule 97. Hearings
(a) After the filing of a complaint and service of the summons the court shall hear the complaining witness and the child in the presence of the child's parents or guardian. The hearing shall be conducted so as to accord all parties due process of law and other constitutional protections applicable to juvenile proceedings. A juvenile may be charged as an adult and may be treated as such in accordance with local law.
