Rule 133. Conduct of trial

Except in matters involving domestic relations, paternity, school truancy and parental neglect, all trials in criminal cases shall be in open court. In domestic relations, paternity, school truancy and parental neglect matters, the trial may be held in a court room, but the judge may, in his discretion, exclude any person not directly interested in the matter being tried. All trials shall be conducted in an orderly manner according to law. No photographs shall be taken or sketches made, nor shall radio or television broadcasting or transmission be permitted in any courtroom during any criminal proceeding therein or during the presence of the defendant in the courtroom without the consent of the court.--Amended Oct. 14, 1994, eff.
